PHOTOGRAPHIE CONTEMPORAINE D’UKRAINE is a project that will take place in Centre Culturel d’Ukraine en France from 10 to 30 November. It is organized by RODOVID Publishing in collaboration with mediaplatform POLE ZORU, with support of Strategic Communications Centre StratCom Ukraine. The event on the occasion of Paris Photo 2017 and photobooks fair Polycopies.

Project “Photographie Contemporaine d’Ukraine” includes two exhibitions based on photobooks by RODOVID and edition “.RAW Story of Changes of Ukrainians and Their Army”.

These series were published in last two years in photobooks by RODOVID Press, created in collaboration with UPHA association, gallery Dallas Contemporary and in editions by Art Huss (“Total Photography” by Yevgeniy Pavlov).

A separate exhibition is based on the edition “.RAW Story of Changes of Ukrainians and Their Army”. This book is among the first attempts to build a coherent narrative - through photographs - of everything that has happened in Ukraine since the 2014 EuroMaidan revolution, including the subsequent war and social cataclysms. It took the work of 33 photojournalists and documentary photographers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and the U.S. to put “.RAW” together: Aleksandr Glyadyelov, Alexander Chekmenev, Maks Levin, Oleg Klimov, Brendan Hoffman, Joseph Sywenkyj, Aleхander Vasukovich, Alexey Furman, Julia Kochetova, Anastasia Vlasova and others.

Рhoto projection and presentation of project “.RAW” will take place at 61. Bar culturel (3 rue de l'Oise, Paris), 8 November, 19:30.

All these editions will be presented in Centre Culturel d’Ukraine, as well as at the photobooks fair Polycopies in Paris (8-11 November, Bateau Concorde Atlantique, Port de Solférino)
