Natalka Husar. Soaking Wet and On Fire [art book]

This book is dedicated to the exhibition Soaking Wet and On Fire Ceramic and Painting by Natalka Husar, organized by the Gardiner Museum, Toronto. Curator Dr. Sequoia Miller.

It opens on September 9, 2023, and runs until January 7, 2024.

The book includes essays by renowned Canadian art historians Dr. Sequoia Miller (on ceramics) and Sarah Milroy (on painting and family history). And also the poetic reflections of Janice Kulyk-Kiefer.

Natalka Husar included in the book all the ceramic works from 1977 that survived and were presented at the exhibition "Golden Form," as well as her latest painting, "I'm Losing My Mother" (2019–2023). This book contains many thoughts of Natalka about love and loss, about native and acquired, about the land of her parents and her Ukraine.
