This volume includes ten separate collections of poetry, cycles, and poems—many of which published for the first time—practically all of Tarnawsky’s poetic output since 1970 when his first book of collected poems appeared, Poeziï pro nishcho i inshi poeziï na tsiu samu temu (Poems About Nothing and Other Poems on the Same Subject). In these works, the poet continues to develop his the radically new poetics and bright imagery of language unique to him.

Yuriy Tarnawsky is a poet, a writer, and a dramatist, a member and co-founder of the New York Group, the Writers Union of Ukraine, and the American avant-garde group, Fiction Collective. He is the author of nineteen collections of poetry, cycles, and poems, seven plays, three novels, and numerous translations and articles on literature. He writes in Ukrainian and English. He lives near New York.
