Born in 1991 in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, Melnitchenko has been practicing photography since 2009. In 2018 he founded MYPH a school of conceptual and art photography. In the last few years, he has taken part in over 150 solo and group exhibitions, festivals, and markets all around the world. He has won many Ukrainian and international contests, including Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award (2017, Berlin), Photographer of the Year (2012, 2013, and 2016, Kyiv), and the Golden Camera (2012, Kyiv). Since 2022, Melnitchenko’s works have been featured in the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung collection (Munich). He was selected to participate in the Futures Photography platform in 2022. Melnitchenko’s works are held in private and public collections in the USA, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, and elsewhere.
