About the book

Alexander Archipenko: Vision and Continuity was the catalog for the Ukrainian Museum in New York’s 2005 innagural exhibition in its new building. Over the next two years, the exhibition traveled to the Smith College Museum of Art in Northampton, MA and the Elvehjem Museum of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The catalog includes 67 works by Archipenko—one of the world’s most famous sculptors, born in Kyiv in 1887—loaned from museums and private collections (with the majority coming from the Archipenko Foundation). In addition to the catalog, the publication includes a critical essay by Professor Jaroslaw Leshko, a chronology compiled by Oleksandr Kaizer, a bibliography, and a checklist of works. This is a bilingual catalog in Ukrainian and English.
